Here is a great prank to pull on kids for April Fools' Day—or any day you want them to have some fun.

Pushpin
Hypodermic needle
Green food coloring
Skillet
Ham (optional)



Recipe



To make an egg yolk green while it is still in the shell, use a pushpin to poke a hole in the wide end of the egg. With a hypodermic needle (purchase one at a drugstore), inject a few drops of green food coloring into the hole in the egg. Spin the egg for about 10 minutes to disperse the dye throughout the albumin, or the white of the egg. Crack the egg; a green egg will come out. To make a scrambled egg, pour the egg into a skillet and start to scramble. Plate the finished green scrambled egg and serve with ham.
