Beef Nuggets in Sauce

List of Ingredients
1 1/2 lb.lean ground beef
1/4 t. pepper
6 T. fine dry bread crumbs
1/2 lb. Monterey Jack cheese,cut into16 pieces
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
2 T. milk
2 T. butter
1/4 c. mayonaise
1 1/2 t. Worcestershire
1 t. salt
1 can mushroom soup,dilute with
4 oz.can sliced mushrooms, do not drain
1/4 c. milk
Recipe
Mix beef,2 T. crumbs,onion,milk,Worcestershire sauce ,salt and pepper. Divide beef into 16 equal portions,then shape around cheese pieces. Roll finished nuggets in bread crumbs. Brown slowly in butter. Drain off excess fat. Mix soup with remaining ingredients and pour over nuggets. Cover and simmer 25 - 30 min., stirring occasionally.
Note: This great served over egg noodles,just double the sauce and garnish with a few sprigs of fresh parsley. Add a fresh tossed salad and you have a complete meal. I've made this ahead and kept it warm for company in the crockpot. The noodles can be made ahead too, just stick them in a casserole with a little water and zap them in the microwave. Make sure that dish is microwave save. Old Cool Whip containers just won't hack this treatment.
