Short Ribs
Ingredients
5 lbs. Short Ribs-cut and portioned
1 Tbls. Kosher Salt
1 Tbls. Pepper
1 tsp. Garlic powder
1/2 cup Vegetable oil
1 cup Cooking Sherry or Red Wine
Instructions
1. Mix the dry seasonings and then season thr ribs.
2. Heat the oil in a heavy skillet or dutch oven. Sear the ribs on the top and the bottom and place in a roasting pan.
3. Deglaze the pan and add to the ribs. Cover and braise at 350 for 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Remove and reserve.
Teriyaki Glaze
Ingredients
2 cups Teriyaki sauce
1 cup Pineapple juice
1 cup Water
3 Tbls. Corn starch
3 Tbls. Cold Water
Instructions
1. Heat the teriyaki, pineapple juice and the water just until it boils.
2. Dissolve the starch with the water until smooth. Whisk into the liquid until the desired thickness is achieved.
3. Serve over Beef Short Ribs.
