    Preparation Time: 20 minutes

    1-1/2 pound lean steak, cut into 1/4" strips
    2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    1-3/4 cup beef broth
    1 cup canned tomatoes with juice
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 clove garlic, finely chopped
    1 large green pepper, cut in strips
    **(Remember to cut AGAINST the "grain" !!)**
    1-1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

    Recipe



    1. Coat strips of round steak with flour mixed with salt and pepper.
    2. Heat oil in a large fry pan.
    3. Brown meat on all sides, drain off any fat.
    4. Add broth, tomato juice (reserving the tomato pieces for later),
    onion and garlic to the meat.
    5. Cover and simmer about 1 hour until meat is tender.
    6. Add tomato pieces, green pepper strips and Worcestershire sauce.
    7. Stir-cook 4 to 5 minutes longer.
    Servings: 6
