    1/2 tsp margarine or butter
    1½ lb. baby beef or beef liver, cut into 1 1/2 inch strips
    ¼ cup chopped green pepper
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/8 tsp marjoram or rosemary leaves
    1/8 tsp thyme or poultry seasoning
    1 medium onion, chopped
    ½ cup condensed beef consomme’
    ¼ cup water
    6-oz. can tomato paste

    In large skillet, brown liver in hot margarine. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer covered 10 to 15 min, for baby beef liver or 15 to 20 min, for beef liver, adding small amount of water if liquid becomes too thick. 6 servings.(300 calories)
    TIP: If desired, 1/2 cup water, 1 cube or 1 tsp beef bouillon and 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce can be substituted for beef consomme’.
