Make-Ahead Seasoned Ground Beef

2 pounds lean (90%) ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove, pressed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce
Recipe
1. Place ground beef in Family (12-in.) Skillet. Cook over medium heat 10-12 minutes or until no longer pink, breaking beef into crumbles; drain.
2. Add onion and garlic pressed with Garlic Press; sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Continue cooking 2-3 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in tomato sauce. Remove skillet from heat.
3. Spoon half of mixture (about 2 cups) into refrigerator storage container. Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days for another use, such as spaghetti sauce, sloppy Joes or chili. Use remaining half of mixture for Taco-Topped Potatoes.
