    Bake a 3-4 lb. boneless rump or sirloin tip roast until rare to medium rare, 140°-150°. Let stand at room temperature on cutting board for several minutes. Slice thin across the grain. Place meat in a container.

    List of Ingredients




    Marinated Roast Beef



    Marinade:
    2 C. beef broth
    1 beef bouillon cube
    2/3 C. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. seasoning salt
    1/3 C. soy sauce
    1/2-1 tsp. liquid smoke

    Recipe



    Mix all marinade ingredients together in a sauce pan. Put sauce pan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to insure all ingredients are dissolved and blended. Pour marinade over cooked and sliced roast and refrigerate at least 24 hours, but no longer than 3 days. Heat and serve either in oven or crock pot.

    Cook's note: The longer the roast marinades, the more tender the beef. This can be prepared ahead of time.
