Italian style dinner by Robin Lea/Bayside Dinners
Shrimp Fettuccini
Servings: 6
Ingredients:
12 ounces fettuccine pasta
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic
3 tablespoons oil
3/8 cup flour
2 1/4 cups light cream
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/8 teaspoon pepper
Dash of Nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
1 1/2 lbs shrimp, peeled
1 1/2 teaspoons basil (garnish)
Cook pasta according to package directions.
In large skillet, saute onions, and garlic in oil.
Mix flour and cream until smooth; add to skillet, stirring.
Add seasonings; bring to a boil.
Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
Reduce heat; add shrimp and basil.
Simmer, uncovered for 3 minutes.
Drain pasta; toss with sauce.
