    Using a pizza stone, this can easily be cooked on a grill


    List of Ingredients




    FIRE MOUTH PIZZA


    12" home made pizza crust
    1/2 cup of roasted pepper and tomato salsa or prepared thick and chunky salsa
    1 cup of rinsed and prepared black beans
    5 each of thin green and read bell pepper rings
    1/3 cup of thinly sliced red or green onions
    1 or 2 jalapeno chili peppers, seeds and stem removed
    2 cups of shredded cheddar or jack cheese

    2 tsp. tex-spice

    1/4 cup ground dried chili pepper or chili powder
    4 tsp. paprika
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp ground cumin
    1 tsp. onion powder
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 ground thyme
    1/4 to 1 tsp. cayenne pepper


    Recipe



    place crust on a large baking sheet. spread salsa over crust evenly. Top with beans, bell pepper rings, onions, chili peppers, and cheese. Bake in 450 deg. oven for about 12 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted. cut into slices and serve immediately.
    makes six slices (or two full-appetizer-size slices)
    one purchased 12" crust or Italian bread shell may be substituted.

    TEX-MEX SPICE

    combine all ingredients and store in a jar with a tight lid.
    Sprinkle over grilled or broiled meats. Add to chili, barbeque sauces, soups, casseroles, etc.
    makes about 1.2 cup
