BEEF SANDWICH IN THE ROUND
12-oz. thinly sliced deli roast beef
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 round uncut loaf pumpernickel bread
1 cup coarsely shredded lettuce
6-oz. sliced Pepper-Jack cheese
6-oz. sliced extra sharp cheese
1 medium ripe red tomato, thinly sliced
Recipe
Combine first 5 ingredients in small bowl, stir well to blend.
Cut loaf of bread in half crosswise. Slather dressing on both inside
portions of bread. Layer half the beef on one part of bread and half on
the other part of bread. Do the same with the cheeses. Spread lettuce on
top of layers of meat and cheeses on bottom part of bread loaf. Lay
tomato slices on top of lettuce. Carefully flip over top half of loaf
onto bottom part of loaf. Cut into wedges. Yield: 10 wedges
Serve with Cole Slaw and chips, pickles olives and anything else that
tickles your fancy.
