Caramel Sauce - Pillsburys 14th Bake Off
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
6 Tablespoons butter -- divided
1 cup light cream -- or half & half. -- divided
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
Combine in a saucepan the sugar, corn syrup, 3 TBSP butter and 1/2 cup
cream or half & half. Bring to a boil; add 1/2 cup cream or half & half
and another 3 TBSP butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally,
to soft ball sage (230 degrees F). Remove from heat and add 1/2 tsp salt
and 1/2 tsp vanilla. Serve warm. Cover leftover sauce and store in
refrigerator.
