    BLOODY MARY SOUP:
    1/2 cup finely chopped sweet onion $ .15
    2 stalks of celery finely chopped .10
    2 cups tomato juice @$1.74 for 4 cups .87
    1 can of tomatoes & green chilies 1.07
    1 T. butter .10
    3 T. lemon juice .30
    4 t. Worcestershire sauace .15
    salt & pepper to taste .05
    $2.79
    Melt the butter in a heavy saucepan and saute the onion and celery until soft and golden. Pour in the tomato juice and simmer for about 15 minutes. Whirl the can of tomatoes and green chilies in a blender and add to the tomato juice mixture. Simmer another 5 minutes. Add the lemon juice, Worcestshire sauce, salt & pepper. This soup may be served hot or cold. If you serving only adults, you may add 1/2 cup of vodka just before serving. Today we are serving the soup cold.
