    This is my sisters recipe. Tastes good!


    List of Ingredients




    3 lb lean, boned chuck roast, trimmed
    3 tbls flour
    1 tbls olive oil
    2 14.5 cans tomatoes
    3 cups chopped onion
    1 1/4 ts pepper
    2 cups water
    1/3 cup molasses
    1/3 cup molasses
    1/3 cup white vinegar
    2 1/2 cup thinly sliced carrots
    1/2 cup raisins
    1/2 ts ground ginger

    Recipe



    roll beef in flour. Heat oil in pan, add beef, browing all sides.
    add tomatoes, onion, pepper, salt. Combine water, molasses, and vinegar. Add to beef mixture. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 1 hour or until beef is tender. Stir in carrots, raisins, an d ginger. Simmer additional 30 minutes or until carrots are tender. Separate roast into bite size pieces and shred . ( I would just use beef stew meat or cut into bite sizes first!)

    Yield 9 servings 1 cup each
