    1 lg loaf Italian /French bread
    Melted butter
    Grated Parmesan Cheese
    1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
    1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
    1 (4-oz) can mushrooms (drained)
    1/2 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 t oregano
    1/4 t garlic powder
    salt & pepper
    Mozzarello Cheese slices

    Split bread lengthwise, then in half again crosswise. Hollow out inside, leaving 1/2" shell. Brush shells with butter and sprinkle generously with grated cheese.
    Brown beef in lg. skillet over med. heat; drain off fat. Add all remaining ingredients except cheese slices and cook until heated through.
    Preheat broiler.
    Spoon beef mixture evenly into shells and top with cheese. Broil until bubbly.
    Makes 4-8 servings depending on the appetites!
