Ingredients
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup rolled oat
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup milk
Topping
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
1Heat oven to 375 degrees.
2Lightly grease cookie sheet. In med.
3bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; mix well.
4With pastry blender or fork, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
5Add milk all at once; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.
6On floured surface, gently knead dough 5 or 6 times.
7Place on greased cookie sheet; press into a 6" round, about 1" thick.
8Brush top with melted butter.
9In small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon; mix well.
10Sprinkle over top.
11Cut into 8 wedges; separate slightly.
12Bake for 20-30 minute.
13or until golden brown.
14Serve warm.
