Tomato Soup Cake

List of Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon OR 1 tsp. nutmeg and 1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
1 can tomato soup
1 Tb. water
1 tsp. baking soda
Raisins and/or nuts if desired
Frosting:
1 pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Milk if neededRecipe
Cream sugar and butter.
Add 1 can tomato soup
Put 1 Tb. water in can and swish,
then add 1 tsp. baking soda and stir.
Pour into butter mix.
Add flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon
(or nutmeg and ginger) and blend well.
Add raisins and/or nuts if desired.
Pour into 2 8" round pans or a 9" x 13" pan, greased.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 min.
or till fork comes out clean when inserted.

Frosting:
Cream ingredients together.
Beat well till creamy and smooth.
Frost cake when cooled.
