    Recipe Introduction

All the flavors of pizza combined in a fun casserole.
A large casserole or baking dish is needed.
    Serves 12

    List of Ingredients

    • 1/4 pound spiral pasta noodles
    • 1/4 pound shell pasta
    • 1/4 pound wheel shaped pasta
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
    • 1/2 pound lean ground beef
    • 1/2 pound Italian sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
    • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    • 1 green pepper, thinly sliced
    • 2 jars ( 32 ounces each ) prepared spaghetti sauce
    • 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, quartered
    • 4 ounces pepperoni sausage, thinly sliced
    • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
    • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray casserole or baking dish with vegetable spray.
    2. Cook pasta according to package directions, adding 1 tablespoon vegetable oil to cooking water. Rinse, drain and set aside.
    3. While pasta is cooking, brown ground beef and sausage in medium saute pan until no longer pink. Use wooden spoon to break up ground beef into crumbles. Drain and set aside.
    4. In small saucepan, lightly brown onion and green pepper in 1 tablespoon vegetable oil; set aside.
    5. In large saucepan, heat spaghetti sauce, cooked ground beef and sausage over low heat until gently bubbling. Keep warm over low heat.
    6. Place 1/2 of pasta in bottom of casserole or baking dish. Top with 1/2 of spaghetti sauce mixture. Add rest of pasta, then top with remaining spaghetti sauce.
    7. On top of sauce, place sauteed onion and pepper, mushrooms and pepperoni. Sprinkle all of parmesan cheese on top of vegetables, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese over all.
    8. Bake 35 - 45 minutes or until cheese is melted and slightly brown.

    Final Comments

If any of the vegetables are offending, they can be omitted.
This can be baked in smaller dishes so that some (or all) can be frozen.
