    Pretzel Chicken

    Source of Recipe

    Snyder's of Hanover

    Recipe Introduction

Tasty and low fat. Use boneless-skinless breasts instead of the cut-up fryer if you prefer.

    List of Ingredients

    • 6 large sourdough pretzels, such as Snyder's of Hanover
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
    • 1 whole chicken, skinned if desired, and cut up
    • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated skim milk
    • Vegetable spray

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 400. Spray a 9" x 13" pan with vegetable spray.
    2. Using food processor or rolling pin, crush pretzels to make fine crumbs. Place crumbs in medium sized bowl and add salt, pepper, sugar, onion powder, garlic powder and parsley; stir to combine.
    3. In another bowl, combine cut-up chicken and evaporated milk. Stir to coat all of chicken.
    4. Remove chicken from milk and roll in pretzel crumbs to coat evenly.
    5. Place chicken in baking dish and bake for 50 - 60 minutes or until meat can be easily pulled away from the bone.
