    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1 1/3 cups white Karo
    • 3 cups whipping cream
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 2 tsp vanilla extract
    • Chopped pecans
    • Five Hershey bars


    Instructions


    1. Place sugar, Karo and 1 cup cream in saucepan and stir till dissolved.
    2. Boil till soft ball stage.
    3. Add another cup cream and boil again till soft ball stage.
    4. Add 3rd cup cream boil till firm or crackling stage.
    5. Butter 2 bread pans and cover bottoms with pecans.
    6. Add vanilla and pour over pecans.
    7. Do not beat
    8. When cold, hold over heat to remove.
    9. Cut into squares.
    10. Makes 80.
    11. Melt 5 Hershey bars and decorate caramels.
