List of Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/3 cups white Karo
- 3 cups whipping cream
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Chopped pecans
- Five Hershey bars
Instructions
- Place sugar, Karo and 1 cup cream in saucepan and stir till dissolved.
- Boil till soft ball stage.
- Add another cup cream and boil again till soft ball stage.
- Add 3rd cup cream boil till firm or crackling stage.
- Butter 2 bread pans and cover bottoms with pecans.
- Add vanilla and pour over pecans.
- Do not beat
- When cold, hold over heat to remove.
- Cut into squares.
- Makes 80.
- Melt 5 Hershey bars and decorate caramels.
