- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 cup of nuts
Instructions
- Combine both sugars, corn syrup and milk.
- Cook, stirring until sugar dissolves, to soft ball stage.
- Cool at room temp without stirring, until lukewarm.
- Beat until it holds its shape.
- Knead till firm, keeping hands greased.
- Shape into 2 1 1/2 inch rolls.
- Roll into the nuts.
- Press nutmeats firmly into candy.
- Wrap in waxed paper.
- Chill slices in 1/2 inch pieces.
