    List of Ingredients




    1 cup shortening
    1 cup brown sugar
    2/3 cup granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. instant coffee
    2 Tbs. hot water
    2 1/2 cups flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 cup chocolate chips
    1 cup chopped dates
    1 cup chopped nuts

    Recipe



    Cream the first 6 ingredients. (Dissolve coffee in the water). Add dry ingredients. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by tsp. onto greased sheets. Bake 350 F. 15 min. 5-6 dozen cookies.
