Eileen's Crock Pot Stuffing

List of Ingredients
12 cups dry bread cubes
1/4 cup butter
1-1/2 cups very finely diced celery
1 cup very finely diced onion
1 Tbsp. dried sage leaves (not ground)
1 tsp. dried marjoram leaves
1/2 tsp. coarse ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt*
1-1/2 cups chicken broth
Recipe
Place bread cubes in a very large bowl.
In a medium fry pan, melt the butter.
Add celery and onion and saute about 2 minutes.
Stir in sage, marjoram, pepper and salt until well combined. Heat about 1 minute.
Stir in broth; heat until warmed through.
Pour mixture over bread cubes and toss gently until well combined.
Place in a 3-1/2, 4 or 5 quart crock pot cooker.
Cook on low heat for 4 to 5 hours.
*NOTE: reduce or eliminate salt if using commercially prepared broth
