    Brownie Nut Loaf

    1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1-1/4 cups sugar
    6 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
    1 egg
    1-1/2 cups sour cream
    1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 cup margarine, melted

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Grease a 9x5" loaf pan.

    In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Stir in nuts.

    In a small bowl, beat egg; stir in sour cream, vanilla extract and melted margarine.

    Add egg mixture to dry ingredients, all at once; stir just until moistened. Pour batter into prepared pan.

    Bake for 65 to 70 minutes or until cake tests done.

    Let stand 5 minutes. Remove from pan to cool completely on wire rack.

    Wrap well and refrigerate overnight.
