Nana's Pineapple and Pudding Cake

1 yellow cake mix
3/4 c. sugar
1 large can crushed pineapple
1 large box vanilla instant pudding
1 8 oz. sour cream
1 12 oz. cool whipRecipe
Bake cake according to directions. Remove from oven and poke holes in top of cake with a fork. Mix sugar and pineapple in sauce pan and bring to a boil. Spread on cake. Mix pudding according to directions. Add sour cream. Pour over pineapple mixture. Spread cool whip on top of pudding mixture. Refrigerate until completely cool before serving.
