    Recipe Introduction

These are really tasty, but not as pleasing to the eye. Some people don't know what they are. When I take them to a party, I put out a small sign telling people what they are.

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 cans of whole water chestnuts
    • 1 lb. bacon (any brand--i usually use sugar creek)
    • 3/4 cup of ketchup
    • 1/3 cup brown sugar
    • 1/3 cup white sugar
    • toothpicks

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
    2. Cut bacon in half. Wrap around water chestnut and secure with a toothpick.
    3. Bake for 25 minutes. Drain on a paper towel.
    4. In a seperate dish, mic together ketchip, brown sugar, and white sugar.
    5. Place chestnuts in a greased dish. Pour mixture over the top.
    6. Bake another 20 minutes. Serve hot or room temperature.
