Cream Wafers
Recipe Introduction
These are perfect tea cookies. Delicate and not overly sweet...pretty too!
List of Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 1/3 c. whipping cream
- 2 c. flour
- granulated sugar
- Filling:
- 1/4 c. soft butter
- 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- 1 t. vanilla
- food coloring (opt.)
Instructions
- Mix butter,cream and flour well. Chill 1 hr. Roll 1/8" thick and cut into one and a half inch rounds.
- Transfer to waxed paper sprinkled with sugar and turn to coat both sides.
- Place on ungreased sheets and prick each 4 times with a fork. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-9 min. or until slightly puffed. Cool.
- Mix filling, color if desired and use to sandwich two cookies.
