    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 c. shortening
    • 1 c. sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1/4 c. molasses
    • 2 c. flour
    • 2 t. baking soda
    • 1&1/2 t. ground ginger
    • 1 t. cinnamon
    • 1/2 t. salt
    • additional sugar


    Instructions


    1. Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg and molasses. Combine remaining ingredients and add gradually to creamed mixture.
    2. Roll teaspoonfuls of dough into balls. Dip one side into sugar; place with sugar side up on greased sheets.
    3. Bake at 350 for 12-15 min. or until lightly browned and crinkly.

    Makes 3-4 doz.
