Gingersnaps
List of Ingredients
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 2 c. flour
- 2 t. baking soda
- 1&1/2 t. ground ginger
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1/2 t. salt
- additional sugar
Instructions
- Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg and molasses. Combine remaining ingredients and add gradually to creamed mixture.
- Roll teaspoonfuls of dough into balls. Dip one side into sugar; place with sugar side up on greased sheets.
- Bake at 350 for 12-15 min. or until lightly browned and crinkly.
