Addie's Holiday Wild Rice Hot Dish

List of Ingredients
- 2 c. wild rice, uncooked but washed
- 1 lb. bacon, cut in 1/4 inch pieces
- 1 lb. pork sausage (regular, hot or seasoned) we used italian
- 2 med onions, chopped
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- 2 c. celery, chopped
- 2 c. grated American or cheddar cheese
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup, undiluted
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
- 2 4oz cans or 1/2 lb. sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 small jar chopped, drained pimentos
Instructions
- Brown bacon and sausage in large fry pan.
- Add green pepper, celery and onions. Cook until vegetables are limp.
- Drain excess fat. Pour into large baking dish.
- Add wild rice, cheese, soups, mushrooms and pimento.
- Stir with wooden or nylon spoon.
- Bake at 250° for 4 to 4 1/2 hours in covered dish.
- Stir once when half done.
- Serves 12 to 15 people.

This is our favorite Wild Rice Hot Dish.
