    Black Bottom Banana Bars



    Black Bottom Banana Bars
    1/2 cup butter or margerine
    1 cup sugar
    1 egg
    1 ts. vanilla
    1-1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas
    (about 3 medium)
    1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 ts. baking powder
    1 ts. baking soda
    1/2 ts.salt
    1/4 cup cocoa powder
    Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, beat until combined. Blend in the bananas, combine the flour, baking powder and soda and salt, add to the creamed mixture and mix well.Divide batter in half; add cocoa to half; spread in a 13x9x2" cake pan(greased). Spoon remaining batter on top and swirl with a knife. Bake at 350 for 25 min. or until they test done.
