Angel Food Cake
1 cup cake flour
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 ts salt
1-1/2 cups egg whites (10-12)
1-1/2 ts. cream of tartar
1/2 ts. almond extract
1-1/2 ts. vanilla
1 cup sugar
Sift together three times flour, pwd.sugar and salt; beat egg whites in a large bowl until stiff but moist, when foamy add cream of tartar and flavorings, add sugar 2 TBLS at a time while beating. Fold flour mixture into egg whites by thirds. Pour into ungreased tube pan and bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes.
