Recipe Introduction
This tastes best if you use the broth from the beef you just cooked, like a roast or such. And, for heaven's sake, don't skim it or clean it.
*I found that by using the fresh beef broth I didn't need to add any salt or pepper.

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups beef broth
1/4 tsp salt*
1/4 tsp pepper*Recipe
Melt butter in a saucepan then add flour. Blend together until no lumps are visible. Add salt and pepper.* Cook adn stir (constantly) over medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes or until mixture starts to brown. Turn heat to low and slowly add broth, stirring constantly. Turn heat back up to medium and continue cooking and stirring (have I mentioned constantly?) until the gravy boils and thickens. Adjust seasonings to taste.
