Black Bean Dip

List of Ingredients
- 2 tbs olive or vegatable oil
- 1/2 onion, chopped fine
- 3 cloves garlic, minced.
- 1 15 oz can of black beans, drained and coarsely mashed.
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 small can green chiles, drained. (optional)
- 1/3 cup salsa, mild, medium or hot.
- 1 1/4 cup shredded mexican style cheese
- 4 tbs fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat oil and saute onion until transparent. Add garlic and saute briefly.
- Stir beans, tomato, salsa and chiles into the onion mixture. Heat through. Add cheese and stir until cheese melts. Remove from heat and add cilantro.
- Serve warm or room temperature, with chips.
