Kris Kringle Cookies

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, dissovled in 2 tbls. milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (pure)
- approximately 4 1/2 cups of flour
Instructions
- Bring butter to room temperature and mix in mixer with sugar until light.
- Add vanillla, milk, soda and eggs. Milk well.
- Sift salt and tartar with 3 cups flour.
- Mix flour into batter, being careful not to overmix.
- Add flour until the batter is at rolling consistency.
- Chill for a few hours. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Roll on lightly floured board or counter surface.
- Cut and bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 8-15 minutes.
- Cool, then top with icing or butter frosting.
