    Recipe Introduction


    An easy and lowfat meal. This recipe is child-friendly. Add more chili pepper to taste for an adult version.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 lbs. ground turkey
    • 2 cans diced tomatoes
    • 2 cans tomato sauce
    • 1/4 cup tomato paste
    • 1 can black beans, drained
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 6 (or more!) garlic cloves, chopped fine
    • 2 tablespoons chili powder
    • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (can substitute other vinegar.)
    • 2 tablespoons sugar


    Instructions


    1. In large skillet, brown turkey with chili powder
    2. Add garlic and onion to skillet and cook for one- two minutes.
    3. Pour turkey mixture into crockpot, add all other ingredients and mix well.
    4. Cook on high one to two hours, or on low for a minimum of three hours.


    Final Comments


    Serve with chopped green onion, chopped black olives, sour cream and/or shredded cheese.
