Recipe Introduction
This is best served warm with vanilla ice cream on the side.
List of Ingredients
- 3/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/4 teas. salt
- 1 stick cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/2 inch cubes.
- 2 lbs. berries, or peaches and plums.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425
- Pulse flour, sugar, nuts and salt in a food processor.
- Add butter and pulse until mixture begins to clump.
- Spread fruit in a 9 /12 inch deep dish pie plate and sprinkle topping on top.
- Bake 25-30 minutes.
Final Comments
If using berries, I sometimes toss them with a little bit of sugar before putting in the dish.
