This is a wonderful and fun recipe to eat and make!
List of Ingredients
Ingredients:
1 cup of flour
half a cup of sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
3 table spoons of cocoa
a quarter of a teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
halp a cup of milk
half a stick of melted butter
Tools:
small saucepan
medium sized bowl
8- or 9- inch square pan
large spoon rubber spatula
Cake topping:
half a cup of sugar
3 table spoons of cocoa
1 and a half cups of hot water
half a cup of packed brown sugarRecipe
1. Heat your oven to 180 degrees celsius
2. Melt the butter with the milk and vanilla in the microwave for 1 minute or in a small pan on the stove on low heat. Be careful!! Butter browns quickly! Let it cool for a minute or two
3. Mix dry cake ingredients in your medium sized bowlthen add the butter, vanilla and milk
4. Mix well with large spoon
5. Spoon the batterinto the baking pan and smoothout with your rubber spatula
6. Combine all the topping ingredients (except the water) in the bowl. Crush any lumps and sprinkle the mixture evenly over the batter
7. Pour the hot water all over the whole top; do not stir
8. Bake for 40 minutes then let it cool for 10 minutes
9. To serve, spoon into dessert dishes, spooning sauce from the bottom of the pan
