Sausage Quiche Squares

List of Ingredients
- 1 lb. bulk pork sausage
- 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilies
- 1 T. minced jalepeno pepper,* optional
- 10 eggs
- 1 t. chili powder
- 1 t. ground cumin
- 1 t. salt
- 1/2 t. garlic powder
- 1/2 t. pepper
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook sausage until no longer pink; drain. Place in a greased 13X9X2-in. baking dish. Layer with cheeses, onion, chilies and jalepeno if desired.
- In a bowl, beat eggs and seasonings. Pour over cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 18-22 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes; cut into 1-in. squares.
