    Chicken and Broccoli Mornay

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 chicken breasts
    • 1 package (10 oz.) frozen chopped broccoli
    • 2 T. butter
    • 2 T. flour
    • 1-1/2 c. milk
    • 1/4 c. white wine (Chablis, or white cooking wine...can be found by vinegar)
    • 1/2 c. Swiss cheese (can use Monterey Jack or mozzarella cheese instead)
    • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
    • 1/8 t. white pepper


    Instructions


    1. Cook chicken in water to cover, about 35-40 minutes. Cool. Slice in bite-sized pieces & put in casserole.
    2. Cook frozen chopped broccoli, drain. Put on top of chicken.
    3. Melt butter and stir in flour until smooth. SLOWLY add milk and stir until smooth and thickened over medium heat. Add white wine, Swiss cheese, Parmesan & white pepper. Stir til chesse melts and pour over the chicken & broccoli.
    4. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
