Asparagus Ham Rolls

List of Ingredients
- 2 T. butter
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1/4 t. white pepper
- 24 fresh or frozen asparagus stalks
- 8 thin slices fully cooked ham (about 1/2 lb.)
- 1/4 c. bread crumbs
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour and cook until thick. Gradually stir in milk and cook until bubbly and thickened. Stir in cheese, salt and pepper. Remove from the heat.
- Place three asparagus stalks on each ham slice. Roll up; fasten with toothpicks if necessary. Place in a 13X9X2-in. baking pan; cover with cheese sauce. Sprinkle with crumbs.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
