    Gehakt Balls (Dutch Meatballs)

    List of Ingredients


    • 250g minced beef steak
    • 250g minced pork
    • 1/2 medium onion very finely chopped and liquid squeezed out
    • 50g breadcrumbs
    • 1 tsp paprika
    • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
    • 1/2 tsp ground corriander
    • 1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
    • pinch of ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
    • salt and pepper


    Instructions


    1. Combine all ingredients well.

    2. Form into tennis ball size balls.

    3. Bake in a pre-heated oven (210C) for 25 mins until well browned and cooked through.



    Final Comments


    Serve hot with mashed potato and gravy or mustard mayonnaise. Serve cold sliced in sandwiches with mustard mayonnaise.

    Mustard Mayo:
    Combine 4tbsp mayo with 1tsp wholegrain mustard and 1tsp dijon mustard.
