1 (6-oz.) can tomato paste
1 cup apple juice
1 T. light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 T. vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 T. lemon juice
2 T. molasses
Recipe
In medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Simmer over low heat 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Note: For thinner sauce, add another 1/4 cup apple juice to the mixture and blend well.
Suggestion: Pour sauce into a pretty bottle and tie with a ribbon as a cookout gift to the grill master. Brush over chicken, ribs, or pork while grilling.
