Herbed Corn Bread

- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 4 tsps baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 T sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 T vegetable oil
- 1 cup milk
- 4 tsp minced fresh sage
- 1/3 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Butter an 8" square baking dish.
- In medium bowl, stir together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
- In small bowl, lightly beat eggs then stir in oil, milk, sage, and parsley.
- Stir the milk mixture into the cornmeal mixture and stir just until combined. Scrape the batter into pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly browned.
