Maple Pecan Scones

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 T baking powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2/3 cup pure maple syrup, plus more for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter with pastry blender. Add pecans.
- In separate bowl, whisk together milk and syrup. Slowly pour liquid into dry ingredients while mixing until combined. Dough should be firm.
- Roll out dough on floured surface to 1 1/2" thick. Cut scones with 3" round biscuit cutter. Brush tops with additional maple syrup. Place on greased and floured cookie sheet.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden.
