- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup milk
- 4 slices, smoked Apple Wood Bacon, cooked and crumbled
Instructions
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; cut in shortening with pastry blender or 2 forks until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add milk and bacon, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a floured surface, and knead lightly (about 4 times).
- Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness, cut biscuits with a 2-inch biscuit cutter. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
- Bake at 425`F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
