Whole Wheat Quick Bread

List of Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 3 T honey
- 2 T butter, melted
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted (optional)
- 3 T uncooked regular oats (optional)
Instructions
- Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Combine buttermilk and next 3 ingredients; add to dry ingredients, stirring until blended. Stir in pecans, if desired. Pour batter into a well-greased 9x5-inch loafpan. Sprinkle with oats, if desired.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan, and cool completely on wire rack.
