    Final Comments

    Yields: 24 bars

*Cracker crumbs: if you can't find the crumbs in your local store, place graham crackers in a sealed plastic bag and roll over it with a rolling pin until crackers are crushed.

*Add butterscotch: you may change the overall flavor of this dessert by substituting butterscotch morsels for the chocolate ones.

*Homemade caramel sauce: instead of buying caramel sauce, try making your own at home. Bring 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar; 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup whipping cream to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring for 1 minute. Remove from heat; cool. Chill 1 hour. Yields: 1 cup.
