    Creamy, dreamy chocolate pie - what's not to like?


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 baked 9-inch pie shell
    • 32 large marshmallows
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • Pinch salt
    • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
    • 1 cup whipping cream
    • 1/2 cup malted milk powder (such as Ovaltine or Swiss Miss cocoa mix)
    • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    • Chocolate Syrup


    Instructions


    1. Combine the marshmallow, milk and salt in a double boiler, set over simmering water. Stir to melt marshmallows. Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips and stir until they melt. Cool the mixture.
    2. Whip the cream until stiff and fold in the malted milk powder and vanilla as you whip. Fold the marshmallow mixture into the chocolate mixture and then spoon into the baked pie shell. Chill well for several hours before serving.
    3. Serve with chocolate syrup, if desired and more fresh, whipped cream.
