List of Ingredients
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 2 T butter
- 2 cups (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 2 T flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 prepared unbaked piecrust (9")
- 1 cup pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small, heavy saucepan, combine evaporated milk, butter and chocolate chips. Stir over low heat, until mixture is melted and smooth, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and corn syrup; mix in flour and salt until well blended. Stir in chocolate mixture until completely blended; stir in vanilla.
- Pour chocolate filling into piecrust. Arrange pecans on top in concentric circles. Bake pie until filling is almost set, about 40 minutes. (Check pie after 30 minutes; if crust is brown, cover edge with foil to prevent burning.)
- Cool pie on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
