    Old Fashioned Sugar Cream Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup sugar
    • 5 T flour
    • dash of salt
    • 2 cups whipping cream
    • 1 cup 1/2 & 1/2
    • 2 egg yolks
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1 (9") unbaked pie shell
    • cinnamon or nutmeg, as needed


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Mix sugar with flour until completely blended. Add the salt and whipping cream. Blend the 1/2 & 1/2 with the egg yolk and stir into the sugar mixture; then add vanilla. Just blend the mixture; do not beat it.
    3. Pour into unbaked pie shell and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg on top. Bake until filling is completely set with the pie is jiggled, around 55 minutes. Bake the pie until it bubbles for 10 minutes. Start checking the pie after 1 hour.
