    This is the very essence of fall.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup butter, softened
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup molasses
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 1/2 cups flour
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 1 1/2 tsps ground ginger


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9" square pan.
    2. Cream butter with sugar, beating until light. Add molasses and sour cream; blend well. Add eggs, beating until well mixed. Combine remaining ingredients and add, beating until smooth.
    3. Pour into pan and bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool in pan for 5 minutes; turn out onto a rack. When cold, cut into squares.
